Over the weekend a couple of birds appeared in the garden that have been missing for a few months. The first was a Silvereye Zosterops lateralis. This little bird loves fruit. It eats a lot of blackberries in season. It also likes grapes, peaches and apples. I saw it on Saturday in our Golden Delicious apple tree, no doubt pecking at the apples. This picture was taken in our peach tree once before when it and its companions were feasting on our peaches.
