I think of spring ephemerals as these dainty early spring bloomers in the woodland. This one is certainly early, but it\'s a beast. It zooms up remarkably within a few days with blooms forming immediately after emergence. They start as these odd up-facing yellow bells, then a few days later switch to dangling bells, brownish on outside, yellow on inside. Only for the lovers of weird plants, I think. It\'s been easy and reliable for super early spring interest. |
