I've had a couple pleasant surprises the past two days. The first photo is Red Emperor. I posted a photo earlier when it was blooming with an open center. The bloom is looking a little ratty now but has at least filled in the center. Maybe it just needed a little time.

The second photo is one of my Apache plants. All three plants were blooming with open centers. Today I found that the new blooms on one plant look a lot better. I hope this trend will continue. Maybe the slightly cooler temps are helping.
