They are from the Geometridae family (Geometrid Moths) and as catipilliars they move like inch worms (which is their common names). But they are not worms they are catipilliars that grow into the common gray moths. They have wings that are butterfly like in shape. The catipilliars do minor damage to the plants from what I can tell so far, so I decided to leave them be (since, I do have a butterfly garden). FYI in case anyone ever gets them. I also added two better pictures in case anyone needs to identify a smilar catipilliar or moth. Thanks everyone. |
