Fruits and Nuts: Blueberry Runners, 3 by JackJJ

My question is: What should I do about/with these runners? They come out as much as four feet from the base of the bush. They come off of a "woody" root (or perhaps it's an underground branch of some kind). As you can see from the photos, I mulch heavily with pine needles.

Specifically, I have two questions: Should they be removed for the health and production of the mother bush? And, can they be transplanted and when is a good time to do this? Thanks for any replies.
