Then you take the pot that the plant in in and nest it in the first one. They have to be close to each other in size. I believe the Fred/Spunky has done this. I did it last year for two plants that I was not sure of the final location and overwintered them that way. They are still there right now and both have scaped and bloomed. It is a little bit more work, but it does help with the watering. It also makes it easier to rearrange plants, but still gives an "in-ground" look.
