Just to add to my ignorance about broms, I saw a bil Gerda on eBay today which does not resemble mine at all. I decided to look up bil Gerda and found that I am not the only one who gets confused about broms. There are some interesting notes on bil Gerda and all its look alikes. I am sorry if I have sent Gerda to anyone ( Sue & Nev I think) under a wrong name . Thats what it was labelled as . It would be a quite old lot of bils that I bought with my epis, and the lady had them for a long time. I would say now , looking at all the info, it is most likely to be the renamed bil Royal Vase or bil Charles Webb. I am leaving mine as Gerda for now with a note that it could be different. It just goes to show that even the experts can be lost at times. Shirley, as always, I love your variegated broms Mirlo especially. Breeindy, the bird caught by the hawk was one of the pesky Wattle birds. They bully the little New Holland Honeyeaters all the time. pics ...neo. Paradise Point Jean. |
