I think triming them back and changing their living pattern weakens them. No scientic proof, just my impression. Here is the stuff I have collected for my potting bench. Porcelin sink from dumpster diving glass window that is 6 feet long and narrow to run along the back of bench at eye level. The bench will be free standing so the sun can shine thru it furnace grate so my new potting soil can fall thru it to a bucket below Now what am I forgetting, what would you like in a potting bench? It will have shelves and be really big, cause I know I will use up the space, that will not be a problem...rofl. The one I have now might be 3 feet long and heavens I can barely do anything on it. Thought about putting pegs achored to the bench to slide the pots over, cause they are always getting blown around. |
