Was hoping just to keep the cuttings alive & well until spring, but all have flourished beautifully and have grown into large, nice sized plants. These are the pictures I took today; tomorrow I'm going to be lopping off at least 1/2 of all the tops of the plants (we have long fluorescent lighting that extends over several of the units, and the coleus are growing much faster than the greens in the other unit; if we raise the lights for the coleus, won't be close enough for the greens). Couldn't get the pictures quite as clear as I'd wanted (dark basement + fluorescent lighting just above the plants). There are nine "plugs" in each unit, with five "holes" each, I have approximately 30 coleus growing in the unit (as many as I could fit in). |
