I grow most of my vines in that "deer resistant" garden, but I have grown Black-Eyed Susan vine (Thunbergia) and Cup and Saucer Vine (Cobaea scandens) near the house and have not had any munching on them. The Thunbergia is available at nurseries here (although I grew mine from seed because I wanted "Blushing Susie") but I had to grow the Cup and Saucer vines from seed. Here is a pic of it. It is a large flower but it did not bloom until fairly late in the season. These are both annuals although Thunbergia did seed about some and came up in unexpected places the next year. |
