By the fall of 2007 the deck was constructed and some planting had been done in the spring and over the summer. My first plans were to have an area with a flagstone patio, but that idea quickly changed when I realized the amount of time involved and the expense. We already had the lumber so it was basically free and a friend was able to help Rick construct it in just a few hours :)
