Bdale - I don't really have much technical information for you, because zinnias are annuals it does allow me to try 7 or 8 new ones every year so I do have opinions and observations. I do prefer all the flowers in a cultivar to all have the same form. Here is a shot of Lavender Gem that has singles and doubles.
