Today they were at our bed-room window and the sun was on them as well, so I had a try at some photographs. The window must act like a one-way mirror, because I was able to get so close I took these pictures at a range of 12 inches, using my macro lens (no need for a telephoto).
Here is the female blue-wren (who has no blue on her at all), admiring her image in the glass!
