Hi all,
I'm looking for suggestions about veggies to grow (next year) in a less-than-full-sun location, and the good folks over in the Veggie forum suggested that I post over here as well. I'm really getting interested in veggie growing, and next year I want to branch out from the tomatoes I've been doing up til now. My garden space is pretty well-defined, and not much I can do about it, so I'm trying to figure out how to work with my space. I've got a raised bed that sits under a large mesquite tree (the one on the right in the pic.). The tree provides lovely filtered light during the summer. I'm having some success with tomatoes under there, although they are noticeably later (and rangier) than my full-sun tomato plants (in the bed on the left).

Do any of you have any ideas about what veggies (other than greens, which can't stand the heat without bolting, shade or no) might work in this site?

I appreciate any and all suggestions--thanks!
