Annuals: Salvia Splendens dropping leaves,brown spots...Help?, 0 by golgi

I started several types of Salvia under lights in my basement on January 29 and they have been doing fine untill about a week ago.They have started dropping all their bottom leaves and there are brown spots on many of the leaves.They are in 3 packs,so larger than a standard 6 pack,they are fed with !/4 to 1/2 of reccommended dose for full grown plants every other time I water.It is Schultz indoor plant food.Does anyone know what could be going wrong? I have a whole month yet before last frost date and I would hate to see all the leaves drop off!
