I had cayenne pepper on the foliage though, so it didn't destroy everything or come back. Four of the plants were chomped up pretty badly to the point where I couldn't even tell if they were cauliflower or kohlrabi anymore, but I left them in the soil to see what would happen. Two of the chomped up plants - one with even less leaves left on it than this one - have started "resprouting" in an odd way. It's almost like the root system started sending up new plants - some where the original was, and some up to several inches away. I can't find anything about this through my internet searching - has anyone ever seen this before? Thanks! :) |
