A lovely butterfly with distinctive markings. The Isabella's Heliconian is a rare stray to south Texas and normally seen in April - July and also during the fall season. We usually see a couple of individuals during these months at our local North American Butterfly Association International Butterfly Park (NABA IBP) located in Mission, TX. This butterfly uses passion vine as a larval host. ~ Cat
