This Salt Marsh Moth or Acrea Moth (Estigmene acrea) took 8 weeks from pupa to eclosing, we thought it might have died in the cocoon, but it came out just beautiful. However it would not stop fluttering the wings and it took off before we could get a good picture with the wings open.
